The movie “Batman versus Superman: Dawn of Justice” is still the top movie.
It just didn’t do as well at the box office as first thought. Warner Brothers has revised downward the film’s debut weekend gross. At first the studio said the movie took in 170.1- million dollars _ but the final estimate was 166.1-million. There are usually corrections between the Sunday and Monday numbers _ but the four-million figure is higher than the usual tweak. Another upshot of the new numbers is that instead of being the sixth biggest opening ever, it’s the seventh.
“DANCING WITH THE STARS”- GERALDO RIVERA
Geraldo Rivera says he’d have “demanded a recount” if he wasn’t voted off “Dancing With the Stars.” He’s the first ousted this season and it’s no surprise. The Fox News Channel reporter had the lowest judges’ scores in the first two performance _ and viewers agreed he should go. Actress Mischa Barton did little better and could be in trouble next week. Wanya Morris from Boyz II Men and U-F-C fighter Paige VanZant tied for the evening’s highest scores. VanZant faced a particular challenge because her partner Mark Ballas was sidelined with a back injury hours before the live broadcast. He’s awaiting test results but hopes to return.
“THE VOICE” – KNOCKOUTS BEGIN
Two of the youngest contestants went head-to-head on “The Voice” last night _ and they both get to stay. The Knockout Rounds began with each coach having to decide which of two hopefuls to keep. Pharrell Williams had to choose between 15-year-old Shalyah Fearing and 17-year-old Emily Keener. Williams says he went with his gut and took Emily. But Adam Levine used his one steal to snap up Shalyah. Levine says he’s shocked and happy he was able to land Shalyah for Team Adam. More knockouts are on tap for tonight.
