Millennials get a lot of flack for being lazy…but it’s actually the exact opposite than what you may think.
There’s a new study out that identifies how many vacation days go to waste every year, and shows that Millennials might be to blame for it – as want to be identified as a “work martyr.”
Chances are, if you agree to these statements, you may be too:
- “No one else at my company can do the work while I’m away.”
- “I want to show complete dedication to my company and job.”
- “I don’t want others to think I am replaceable.”
- “I feel guilty for using my paid time off.”
Nearly half (48%) of the millennials surveyed said it is a good thing to be seen as a work martyr by the boss, far outpacing the average (39%), Gen Xers (39%), and Baby Boomers (32%).
