It’s not exactly the news we were hoping for.
During last nights board meeting in Brockville, trustees voted 8-2 in favour of the proposed changes.
According to an UCDSB release the board is faced with nearly 10,000 unused student spaces across the district equivalent to 33 empty elementary schools. So far, two public consultations are planned, one in November and the next in January. No word yet on the exact dates or locations for our area.
The meeting was supposed to be broadcasted live throughout the website – however due to “technical difficulties” the feed was down. They have posted the video on their website.
