I know – it sounds too good to be true…but this seriously works!
If you keep getting the annoying “No Storage” message on your iPhone or you can’t take any more pictures and are running out of apps to delete to gain space, you seriously need to try this.
Step 1: Check How Much Storage Is On You Phone Currently
You can find this under Settings > General > Storage & iCloud Usage
I started out with 122 MB available (yeah…I literally had no free space)
I only screenshotted this after the first try
Step 2: Open iTunes Store and “Rent” Lord Of The Rings: Return of The King”
BUT WAIT FOR THE PLOT TWIST….You can’t actually rent it!
Your phone will attempt to rent the movie…but the thing is…its a MASSIVE movie. The file is huge. Something like 7Gs…but just take my word for it (or Simon from Sales who told me to do this) so if you’re getting low storage warnings, your phone literally won’t be able to rent it.
Buuuuuut your phone is going to try as hard as it can to get that space. Which means……
Step 3: Check Your Storage – Repeat
Prepare to be amazed! Chances are you’ll see a slight increase in your storage. Repeat the process – attempt to rent the movie again, and watch it go up!
After about three tries, I literally gained this much space in my phone!
If on the off chance it actually charges you for the movie and you don’t get the movie – just call Apple and they’ll probably reverse it.
Can’t charge you for something you didn’t get!
If you try this but do have a lot of storage on your phone and in turn buy the movie because you have the excess storage…well you should have read the beginning of this blog more carefully.
We are by no means tech experts or anything, but a few of us in the building have tried it, and it’s worked, and hasn’t charged us for it. So it should be safe?
