Jesse Jenssen is a Telus customer that got hit with a $24,225.80 phone cell bill.
Jesse had his cell phone stolen and the perpetrator figured out his passcode.
The extra charges ranged from an extra 8 gigs of data, used in the U.S.A.
Jesse called Telus when he received the ginormous bill, but there was nothing that could be done. The problem stemmed from the fact that the person who stole the phone just replied with a ‘YES’ text when the data would go over. The yes text allowed the phone to be used as the data charges were racked up.
The point of the story is, when you lose your phone call you cell phone provider ASAP to avoid this messy issue!
