Thanks to Facebook’s “On This Day” for reminding us of a hilarious memory!
Five years ago this week, I had the pleasure of participating in CTV Ottawa Morning Live’s Intern For A Day contest, an opportunity to work on their live morning show, helping out behind the scenes and seeing what the television life is like.
But of course…it couldn’t be THAT simple.
What fun is it to just interview someone and give them the job?
After taking a trip up to Ottawa for the interview, I soon after discovered that the bizarre process was actually an elaborate prank framed by pretty much the entire crew, complete with hidden camera recordings that would be aired on national television two days later.
Keep in mind – Jentry five years ago was a painfully awkward, shy college student who had yet to break out of her shell.
And yet despite how it pains me to watch this…for your viewing pleasure…I share with you this memory.
As awkward as it is, this was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had, I had a ton of fun, and I can honestly credit this day as the day I fell in love with the broadcasting industry!
