It’s been a long few months of fighting and standing up for our communities and the importance of our local schools.
The final Upper Canada District School Board meeting happened last night in Kemptville where trustees voted on the proposed closures of our local schools. The results were not as hoped for – with the major blow being the decision to close Rothwell-Osnabruck (Grade 7-12).

Closures Pending Funding
Cornwall Collegiate and Vocational School and St Lawrence SS to be closed at a future date to be determined pending Ministry approval for the consolidation of both schools as one secondary grades 7-12 school located in Cornwall in accordance with the UCDSB Capital Priorities List,2.
North Stormont P.S. be closed and consolidated with Roxmore P.S. at a future date to be determined pending Ministry approval for an addition at Roxmore P.S. in accordance with the UCDSB Capital Priorities List,
