The cities of Brockville and Kingston are monitoring the rain closely as some areas in Eastern Ontario are under a flood watch, as rain levels in some locations reached the 100 millimetre mark by 8 PM on Monday Night.
The OPP were dealing with several accidents on Highway 401 on Monday, many of them due to ponding and vehicles hydroplaning on the roadway. Several local roads had to be closed due to flooding.
The rain is not expected to completely taper off until early Tuesday. Take extra care if you need to travel Monday night and early Tuesday morning.
